Imagination #18 ~Everything you can imagine is real.~

“Everything you can imagine is real.”
Aoun was going through his news feed when he came across this line posted by one of his countless unknown facebook friends. He didn’t agree to that. He thought it’s just in the minds of the people. There are no real life mermaids, and time machine, obviously doesn’t exist.
“Truth of the universe.” commented by Minal Haider. He replied to her comment, “Universe is science and imaginations are mere thoughts.” He took a sip from his coffee and continued checking other posts.
A notification popped up. The girl had replied back, “Thoughts are scientific. They aren’t verified, that’s it.” He thought about it for a second. “They are not verified because they cannot be proved.” He clicked onto her name in order to check her profile.
Minal Haider 20 years old, from Karnataka, has interest in music and books, and has a profile picture of some Korean actress with a cover photo of the night sky. “Unrealistic species.” he said to himself. Another notification, “Proof is just for the world. Do you really think humans are descendents of apes? And even if it is so, where did apes come from? What about Adam and Eve? One theory doesn’t leave scope for another. People just believe what’s easy to prove. This doesn’t mean other things are unreal.”
“Interesting character.” he thought. He opened up the chat window, “But that doesn’t mean EVERYTHING is real.”
Minal: Of course it is. How did you start imagining about something which isn’t real? There must be something which triggered your thought, which is, in fact real.
Aoun: For example?
Minal: A dream, or a cloud or may be some oil spilled on the road. You might have seen the spilled oil and thought about a river flowing through a valley, which had such contrasting colors.
Aoun: Just because you thought about it, doesn’t mean it’s real. And anyway, where would anyone find a river which had colors like the spilled oil?
Minal: There might be. We haven’t discovered it yet.
Aoun: So then, you do believe in mermaids and fairy tales as well?
Minal: No, I don’t. But you never know, they may as well exist.
Aoun: Diplomatic. You just don’t want to give up.
Minal: Why should I, when I know it’s true.
Aoun: It is not. You just think it is.
Minal: I think it is, because, it actually is.
Aoun: My god! You are crazy.
Minal: Now that is another truth without a verified proof.
Aoun: Haha.. It seems like you imagine a lot.
Minal: Yes. It’s my favorite time of the day.
Aoun: Everyday thing ha?
Minal: Yeah!
Aoun: You’ve got an interesting personality. What do you do then; apart from imagining?
 Minal: I’m a student.
He was about to type and she replied back again.
Minal: Hey, I’ll see ya someday; bit busy right now. It was nice talking to you J
Aoun: Same here.
He didn’t have any thought in his head, he just smiled. He went onto check her profile again in hope of finding some more information about her. Just then, he saw a message notification.
Minal: And, by the way, there is a river by the name ‘Cano Cristales’ in Columbia. You might want to Google about it.
She went offline after that. He typed the name of the river in the search box of the browser. The river changed colors in accordance with the bed throughout the year, which made it look yellow, green, blue, black and especially red. It was commonly called the ‘Liquid Rainbow’ or the ‘River of five colors’. He smiled looking at the pictures. “You’re right. Not completely though.” He said as though speaking to her.
And thus, another story began…
